After these things, he continues on: Turn to me, and you shall be saved, you who are from the end of the earth! Or according to Symmachus: Turn around to me and be saved, all you boundaries of the earth! You see how he proclaims the universal preaching to all nations. And he adds: I am God, and there is no other. By myself I swear, “Verily righteousness shall go forth from my mouth.” And, again, hold on to righteousness with the traditional oath “for the confirmation of the promise,” “so that,” as the divinely appointed apostle says, “through two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible that God should prove false, we might have strong encouragement.” And through the righteousness that comes from him, salvation is promised to everyone. And he says that these, my words, shall not be turned back. But what sort of words are these, or through whom did he say: Turn to me, and you shall be saved, you who are from the end of the earth?
