Толкование на группу стихов: Ис: 13: 21-21
Therefore he prophesies that Babylon will be absolutely empty and no longer inhabited by the domestic and useful animals that had dwelled among it. And when he says wild animals, we read this as a prediction that there will be certain obscure and unknown creatures, certain wild and savage demons and spirits in it. Therefore, instead of wild animals, the other Greek translations have rendered this word sieim. Instead of sirens, they have ostriches, and instead of Donkey-centaurs, they simply transliterated the word iim from the Hebrew because of the obscurity of the meaning.

And beasts will rest there. And this shows it is uninhabited. And their houses will be filled with noises. When there is no man speaking, nor horses neighing, nor oxen lowing, nor donkeys braying, nor any other sound is made, the ears receive only a certain echo; and we experience this at night when there is complete silence. So the text either alludes to this, or that because of the desolation, the remnants of the houses echo to those who speak. And sirens will rest there, and demons will dance there
