Instead of this, Symmachus renders this verse in this way: Instead of beauty, the beautiful of your number will fall by the sword, and your powerful will fall in battle, when the city will be emptied and mourn. And so it has been said concerning it according to the Septuagint: you shall be left alone and shall be dashed to the ground.
