Толкование на группу стихов: Ис: 37: 4-4
And you indeed, O prophet of God, you reminded us that there was a multitude of our people, captured and already in Assyria, who prayed 236 to God on behalf of those of us who were left behind that their courage might not fail. For we believe and are convinced that great things will work together for our salvation because of your petitions on our behalf. The king ordered them to say these things to the prophet.

Perhaps the Lord your God will hear the words of Rabshakeh whom the king of the Assyrians, his lord, sent to reproach the living God and to reproach with words which the Lord your God has heard? These things also show the king’s virtue; for he beseeches God to defend him not on account of his piety, of which he took great care, but on account of that accursed one’s mad blasphemy. For, he says, he reproached the one who exists in the same way as the gods who do not. And you shall pray to the Lord your God concerning this remnant. For since they had enslaved the ten tribes and had besieged most of the cities of Judea, he reasonably calls those who had fled for refuge into Jerusalem a remnant.
