Толкование на группу стихов: Ис: 33: 22-22
And the rivers come to the aforementioned city of God and serve in place of a wall encircling and surrounding the city and are just as uncrossable as any other barrier, making it inaccessible to the enemies and adversaries, because the Lord is the city’s great place. For he was the rock on which it was built. And it says that he is our judge, and he is our ruler, and he is our king and Savior. The Lord is these things to us, and thus the city is impregnable, for the rivers which encircle it make it inaccessible to every enemy. And we will see that the word speaks of the rivers that enclose the city as equivalent to the great and full river whose “streams make glad the city of God.” And “his angels who always behold the face of the Father who is in heaven” might also be the rivers that enclose his church. Such things as these the Word says concerning the city of God, but he will suddenly turn and inveigh against the ancient city.
